Vortex Multix 87 Winter Review

Bought it and have had it for a few weeks. I LOVE it and have had zero issues. Doesn't have built in lighting, but that's why I picked one that comes with caps with thick lettering. I can see it clearly in low light conditions. Doesn't have macros, but that's why AutoHotKey exists. Previously had a keyboard with TCC(?) blue keys, and my god is the difference insane. It feels comfy playing games now. 10/10

Vortex Multix 87 Winter Review

I'm not sure why there aren't more reviews of the Vortex Multix series out there, but it's an amazing keyboard. My latest iteration has lightly hand-lubed Gateron Silent Reds, and the keyboard feels and sounds amazing. Out of the box the stabilizers rattle but lubing them with Krytox 205g0 (not even taking them out, just getting some Krytox into the inserts) made a night and day difference here. I'm new to this so I'm sure there's more than can be done, but if you look at an exploded view of the keyboard - Vortex Gear has one in a video clip on the keyboard's home page, and I've seen still images - the thick, luxurious, molded silicone dampening pads make it obvious why the keyboard feels so solid and nice. As of this writing I'm still new to the hobby, but I'm loving it, and it's hard to imagine another keyboard knocking this one off the top of the pile for me. I love mine, my wife loves hers, and while with different switches they sound and feel wildly different, the board accomodates being different things for different people. I'm thinking this'd be an awesome keyboard to get friends into the hobby. Hotswap, so if they don't like where they start they can experiment.
