This is my daily driver. The best of the best. I would not trade this for the world. Would really like to see this re-released with a hot swap board.
I am really enjoying this keyboard. The trackpoint works perfectly (and the sensitivity can be adjusted). The keys feel great. And the layout is just like a classic Thinkpad. Even the box this comes in looks like a Thinkpad laptop, which is a nice touch. Can't thank you enough for making this niche product.
Great form factor and the online tool for changing layouts is very nice. Sadly, it seems the ability to change the FN key is limited and can't type out characters. I also found the trackpoint scroll a bit laggy and not as smooth as trackpoint scroll would be but this might be due to OS X.
This keyboard is a best of both worlds for me.
I always enjoy having the feedback of a mechanical keyboard, but a huge fan of the trackpoint because I work on IBM systems and have to use a trackpoint on the systems and have come to enjoy using it.
The feedback and quality of the keyboard is fantastic, and I really like how all shortcut keys are clearly displayed on the keyboard.
One downside of the keyboard which I think was a bad move when manufacturing this keyboard is not having dedicated function keys. I am happy to work around this issue, but the reason it is an issue is because on the IBM systems for me I need those function keys.
So my question is why go back to IBM ways of having the trackpoint and not have the function keys.
Saying that, I like the fact it is small because I can easily pack it into a bag and take it away with my laptop.
Personally I hope that they decide to bring out a full size version in the future, but for now I am very happy with this keyboard.
This is a great keyboard and I absolutely love the Track Point (I was a huge fan of the IBM Track Point). I had an issue with the first generation Track Point being too sensitive so I emailed Justin over at TEX and he shipped me an updated Track Point module no charge. The sensitivity on the new module is just right. The build quality is superb and my support questions were answered in one day. Would definitely buy this again.
This is an expensive keyboard but is extremely well made. There is also a pretty cool system that let you save the setting to the keyboard itself. Trackpoint is nice!
