  • I love this keyboard. Makes me happy every time I use it. The layout is really good; I've had a few small-format keyboards with weird key placement and spacing that constantly threw me off. This is what I'd been looking for forever: just a regular keyboard with the numeric keypad lopped off. Everything's where it should be.

The brown switches are exactly as I hoped, too: great for typing, while relatively quiet. There is some occasional slight spring noise.

I put on the WASD red dampeners, and I don't know that I'd do those again. The sound reduction was minimal, but then again so was the change to the feel. So they're good, but maybe not worth the price. If you tend to bottom out more, they'd probably make more of a difference.

The backlighting is perfect at the lowest setting. It can go really bright.

It's very solid. The weight and the rubber pads mean it doesn't budge on my relatively slippery desk.

Finally, yes, the Chinese version works perfectly as a regular US keyboard, and looks pretty cool. Because of the placement of the LEDs at the top of the keys, you can't see the zhuyin characters very well without cranking the brightness way up. I guess that's good if you'd find them distracting, but if you actually use them, it could be a slight negative.
