  • Heavy, sturdy, very satisfying for all day typing. Love how it looks and that you can adjust the backlight brightness. The white keys have a slightly warm toned color, which is nostalgic if you're a certain age. The colored keys are more translucent but that doesn't really bug me. This is my first nice keyboard and I'm very happy with this purchase.

  • Loving this keyboard. I got it with the cherry mx silent black and couldn't be happier. Having a really nice keyboard is one of those things you don't realize makes a difference in your daily life until you get a nice keyboard. Its a bit of a luxury, but I'll never go back.

  • Almost everything about this keyboard is of great quality. The packaging was really nice, the keycaps feel great, and the switches work well. I like that the board has a wooden texture added to it; it really makes the keyboard seem extra luxurious, even if it is just nice plastic.

The reason I'm giving this keyboard 4 stars is mostly because of the LEDs. The light goes through the colored keycaps, which looks pretty bad to me. The keyboard ships with non-colored keycaps that you can replaced the colored ones with, so this isn't something you can't fix. You can also adjust the LED brightness and turn the lights off if you don't have a need for them. I also noticed that a few of the keys make a quiet metallic sound hit, most notably the two Windows keys. I found this mostly in those two keys, one or two of the numpad keys, and a few of the normal number keys. Not really a big deal as the sound isn't loud and you won't notice it at all unless you aren't listening to any audio/background noise. It's just kind of an annoying inconsistency that I noticed.

Other than that, I love how the keyboard looks. That was one of the main reasons I went with this one. The colored keys look nice with the white and grey layout. The keycaps are come off nicely with some force, and the keyboard comes with a keycap puller, which makes this really easy to do. I had to fix my numpad 0 key since it wasn't in quite right, but that may just be due to shipping. Out of 105 keys, one is bound to be a bit loose. Taking it off and putting it back on fixed the issue, though.

TL;DR: Absolutely a 5-star keyboard if you don't mind the lacking LEDs and transparent-ish color caps, otherwise, a good 4.5 stars

  • This was my first mechanical keyboard and by far the best keyboard I have used. I purchased this for my personal computer, but I like it so much I am buying another VA108M (Moonlight color) for my work setup. The MX Brown switches work really well for me. At first I didn't care for them; it took me a few days to become accustomed to the light touch required to activate the switches. Now every other keyboard feels fatiguing to my hands.

I have a few small nitpicks, but I still consider this a five star product.

I wish there was better cable management for the USB cable. It attaches on the right side of the keyboard, which works for my setup, but maybe less than ideal for others. It would be better if there was a channel to direct the cable underneath the keyboard. On the subject of the cable, I wish it was a braided USB cable for the money, it would look better. Also, maybe a USB-C port instead of Mini-USB, for more future proof compatibility.

The backlighting doesn't really do anything for me, and I feel it's a gimmick more than anything. The light doesn't shine though the keycaps, so it doesn't make visibility any better; however, it does shine a bit through the colored CMPYO keycaps, which looks a bit cheap. I leave the backlight off most of the time, so it doesn't bother me.

Some people have complained about the faux wood grain case, and wished that it had an open design like the VA87M. This hasn't bothered me, but I do see the point, and think it would look sharper if designed more like the VA87M. I just don't think I can live without my ten keys though.

Again, while not perfect, I still consider this a great keyboard (so much that I bought two!)

  • An absolutely unbelievably premium keyboard. Heavy, sturdy, textured. just a dream to use and can not be happier.

  • hands down best keyboard I have owned to date. Used many in the past from other brands and none come close to the quality of this keyboard. This thing was built for performance. No fancy rgb lighting and other gimmicks. If you are in the market for a new gaming keyboard I would look no further than this.
