Great lighting, feel, and price!

There's a lot to like here. Good construction, nice keyboard feel, attractive two-color design, rubberized feet that keep keyboard in place.

But for me there was one big flaw: upon releasing the space key while typing at speed, it makes a "thwak/ping" sound when coming up, that's way louder than any of the other keys. I was surprised as most unpleasant key sounds on keyboards happens when the keys are depressed, not when they are released.

To my way of thinking, you can't charge $135 for a keyboard that has a glaring discrepancy like this. Who at Ducky dropped the ball on this??? Maybe it's just this one unit??

If MK doesn't have a solution, it's going back and I'll stick with my Razer Huntsman V2, whose keys all sound and feel very similar when depressed *and* released.

I love this keyboard sm and mostly the switches since I've been wanting silent switches (I ordered the Kailh BOX Silent Pinks)! I was using tactiles before this for the first time and I really disliked it so I'm happy to be on linears again. The keyboard came super fast (4 days) and it was well packaged. The stabs are also smooth and not rattlely which I really like. I'm super happy with my order and would recommend these switches to anyone who likes silent linear switches.

Amazing keyboard. I bought this keyboard with the silent pink switches and the result was incredible. Not only do they sound completely silent, they feel amazing as well. I came from a razer keyboard with green switches which made the people in my house go insane when I was gaming or just typing. Now, you can barely tell I am even using a keyboard. 10/10

Absolutely love this keyboard, I have the cherry MX brown switches which are the perfect switch for me personally. The lights look amazing and I love the different RGB options, definitely satisfied with this. It even comes with a few colored key caps and mine came with a year of the rat spacebar which I am in love with!

I got this keyboard to upgrade from my $80 anne pro 2 and wish I had not. I got silent red switches that sound terrible. Every key on the board had ping or there is a loose metal plate inside, I am not totally sure which. After typing with it for a while the vibrating sound is unbearable. I am sending it back to be fixed and hopefully have new switches installed. In reading other's reviews it seems many people are satisfied with their keyboards so maybe I just got unlucky. Other than the ping everything on the keyboard was excellent. It is very sturdy and has some good weight to it. I did not have the issue with dim spots on the RGB as others mentioned. Hopefully I just got a bad board that will be fixed soon.

I've had this keyboard for about a month now and I love it. the lights look great and the blue switches feel and sound great. I had issues with regular keyboards before creating issues when I was typing but this is smooth and super fun to type on. I'm actually thinking about getting a second one for work.

Bought this and waited 7 months for extreme disappointment. I got the silent reds which thankfully sounded great other than constant squeaky springs even worse than my 3 year old Rosewill K85. After 2 weeks of use, the keyboard no longer worked. Every PC/Laptop I plugged it into told me to unplug it because it's causing damage and the keyboard would not type at all. No cords would work or any fix to it so ended up returning it.

Absolutely love this keyboard. It looks and feels amazing. The keys have a slight texture to them that is very pleasing while typing, the build quality is superb and the RGB is top notch. I have the MX blue switches and coming from Logitech blue switched these feel and sound much more quality and pleasing. I will be recommending this keyboard to anyone and everyone that asks about keyboards.

i own 2 one 2 TKLs 1 with reds and the other with blues and i use & love them both ducky is my favorite the TKL is great if you don't want the numpad and don't want to get rid of your arrow keys and everything else the rgb looks great and they even have software for this board now if you're scared of not having any
they always throw in some extra colored keycaps a keypuller and a spacebar with awesome artwork on it and a normal one too so thats awesome if you like to change up some of your keys like i do
i also have 2 minis and 1 mecha mini that i use too i recommend ducky to all of my friends they are amazing!

Keyboard is really nice one of the best keyboards in the world, would recommend got blue switches and gave me some extra key caps please buy it's a good version this is the most underrated keyboard

Love this keyboard. First time buying a standalone keyboard, up until now I've only used laptop keyboards. My latest laptop's keyboard is awful. After doing a lot of research, I decided to go for this ducky one 2 rgb tkl with cherry mx browns.
This thing is awesome. The brown switches are a great balance between typing accuracy and gaming. Keys are buttery smooth. RGB looks great. My hands also sweat when I game and it doesn't seem to bother this keyboard at all and doesn't leave any residue. Works immediately on plugging in, no downloads required.
I think they also include random graphics on the spacebar. Mine is a rabbit riding a skateboard, it cracks me up. The package also includes a plain spacebar, a couple of colored keys, and a tool to remove keys.
I've had it for a few months now, zero issues. Love it.

The keys feel great, both the feel of the keycaps and the key presses. I've been using mine for almost a week at this point, and I like it even more every time I use it. I just can't describe what it is exactly. My old keyboard used Cherry MX Blue switches also, but something about the build of this keyboard that just feels great.

Regarding the LED lighting: The PgDn, Pg Up, Home, Del, and Pause keys lettering is not consistently bright. They are readable, but there are dark areas in some of the letters. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. My keyboard came set to USB 2.0 Power Mode, and I was initially disappointed by the lack of brightness, to the point of thinking of returning it. The LED lighting is a secondary feature, but it was hard to read some of the characters in a brightly lit room. Setting the keyboard to USB 3.0 Power Mode fixed the issue, and I have no issues with the brightness anymore. One other complaint is that although I have mine set to white, and it has a very slight green/blue tint to it. I've tried adjusting the color, but it just doesn't look white. Again, this isn't important in the big picture, but worth mentioning. The other colors look great.

The included software is simple and does the job of setting the basic LED colors. I'm only using the solid lit mode and it works great for that. Configuring the keyboard per the manual is a little tricky. The fact that you can do all of that directly from the keyboard without software is great, but you'll never remember most of the commands. It's something you do once in a while and then forget about it. My one nit with it is that certain things, such as the brightness, don't appear to work, or it doesn't do a good job of explaining where that is used.

One last thing. My old keyboard was very similar in many ways, but it had the scroll lock and pause keys configured to do some sort of timer feature that I never used. When I would accidentally hit this while playing a game, it completely disables your keyboard until you press the "end" key. I can't tell you how many times I hit that accidentally while playing a VR game, only for my keyboard to be completely locked out. I am so happy that the Ducky keyboards don't have any features such as this. As long as you don't touch the Fn key, it's a regular keyboard.

One more thing. expect to wait at least a month to get your keyboard. Be patient, it's worth the wait!

I got this keyboard with mx-blue switches. It feels amazing and clicky. A lot of that is the switches themselves which are top notch, but the buttons feel really great and solid and i can type incredibly fast. Would highly recommend this keyboard with these switches for any serious typists out there.

I bought the Cherry MX Silent Red switches and they are very nice. 9/10
Pros: The double shot PBT keys are durable and feel like they will hold up for years. The keys are very easy to press down and are almost silent. RGB is great too! If you need more desk space this keyboard will be perfect.
Cons: I wish I had bought the mx Blue's because the tactile feedback to the fingers isn't the greatest with the silent reds. If you are editing videos or playing games that require F1-F12 keys, I would probably look at a different keyboard as well (non TKL). (Also, the neat design space bar they sent me had a PANG! noise, so I just used the bland looking backup spacebar)

Great quality.
Quite pingy with cherry mx brown, looks like metal parts in switch resonate with the PCB.

PROS:
Cherry blues feel so good
Build is weighty and solid
black and white 2 tone is really nice

CONS:
Had scuffs on some keys right out of package
Lighting in most of the lettering of keycaps are not even, meaning you can clearly see dim spots in parts of letters on the key caps, this can be seen in the product images, specifically the Home, button area or any keys thats have more than 1 character.
LEDs are surprisingly dim this may be the reason why the key cap letters don't shine through well, coupled with the shotty double shot for the back light letters.

other thoughts:
I threw on some Razer PTB upgraded keys from another keyboard and they shine through better. Gonna get another set of Razer PTB keys for this keyboard.
Not sure about the review from E.T. complaining about the half-lit space bar, I have the YOT pig on it as well and it is fully lit, but as that individual mentioned it is a little dim in certain spots. Ducky attempted to correct this with 3 LEDs underneath the space bar, sounds like a dead LED.
Docking 2 stars for the keycaps as i have to buy an entire new set of key caps to really show this thing off.

So I bought this probably about 3-4 months ago, and I really like the RGB and feel of the keyboard built well it is heavy but not too heavy and feels sturdy. The biggest issue I have with the keyboard is the fact that they black PBT keycaps on it get this white film on them and its not easy to get off. Its not dust, I have owned about 25 different gaming keyboards and currently im using a different brand one now. Only one I have had that ever did that, It just made the keyboard look trashy and dirty so I stopped using it after multiple times of cleaning it off over and over again. Like the keyboard but dont get black keys if you get one.

Great build quality, satisfied with every aspect of the keyboard except for one MAJOR issue. The majority of the keycaps have "dim spots" that does not allow the rgb to shine through seamlessly, which makes the board look like some knock off to be honest. This is highly unfortunate as the special "year of the pig" spacebar that comes with the keyboard is quite literally half lit, making it look disgusting. Considering that this keyboard is around $140 (after tax), and considering the fact that most pictures I have seen online do NOT have this issue, I am incredibly disappointed and will be most likely be forced to either return the keyboard or buy new keycaps, as in it's current state, this keyboard simply looks like garbage.

This keyboard is built like a tank. Solid feel, the keys feel and sound awesome. I went with Browns (I usually go Blue) and I love the feel and sound. At first, I didn't think there was much difference between this and my Das Keyboard Professional 4 and WOW was I wrong, the Das feels like mush compared to this keyboard. I am a ducky convert.

My only complaint is that some of the key labels are occluded and the light does not shine fully through, not a big deal but worth mentioning.

Another comment, not complaint is the RGB is nice and has some nice modes but I am not sure it's really worth the extra coin. If you are on the fence about going with the lighting or without, I would say save the money and go with no lighting.

Upgraded from an original "Ducky One TKL Blue LED" (not RGB, only blue.) MX Cherry Brown switches on both.

The Ducky One TKL Blue was (and still is) pretty amazing. I've moved it to my wife's computer where it'll last forever, I'm sure.

The new board, a "Ducky One 2 TKL RGB," comes with a pink colored enter, back, shift and arrow keys. Black replacement keys come in the box, too, in case you prefer a solid black style keyboard. Another difference is that the bottom of the new board is white, which creates a very simple and yet stylish aesthetic that the original Ducky One lacked.

The new boards are (finally) USB3.0. If you're connecting it to a USB2.0 port, read the manual as the power settings need adjusted. (Regardless, always read the Ducky manual. There's a lot of cool stuff in it!)

There's an interesting texture on these keycaps that my previous Ducky boards lacked. (I have six total Ducky boards here, but this is my first "One 2.") I don't know if it will wear off with time, but it feels great for now. It actually helps keep my fingers on the keys without any sliding motion. It's just the perfect amount of friction.

It feels so great, I want to keep typing and typing and typing but this review has already gone on for too long. GET THIS BOARD. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Solid keyboard, Ordered the silent red switches. The case is plastic but the board has some weight to it, looks amazing with the double colored case. I would suggesting downloading the software for the RGB it makes it so much easier to customize the lighting and setting up the media keys and macros weren't so hard but I had to search up some online tutorials as the instructions in the booklet are kind of confusing.

I wanted a solid, silent TKL keyboard for the office and thus opted for the MX Silent Red switches. And indeed, they are VERY silent. I'm very satisfied with them but others may not like the fact that there is no tactile feedback at all on these keys. In such cases, obviously, other switches should be chosen when ordering this keyboard.

I'm impressed with the heft and build quality of this keyboard, though as others have mentioned, the backlighting doesn't show cleanly through all the keys (for example, the e in 'Home' is partly occluded, making the key look more like 'Hom'). It doesn't bother me too much and I have no idea if other PBT keycaps are better in this regard. The lighting effects are neat, and I've settled on the "raindrop" effect for mine. I wish, however, that one of the modes was a random "Matrix" style trace from top to bottom that I've seen on competing brands.

Highly recommended.

I love this keyboard! Solid construction, good sound, good LEDs, no obvious PWM flicker, USB-C, programmable - It's my favorite!

Unfortunately - The latest firmware update (1.00.02) just broke the DIP switches. :( In v1.00.00 you could use the DIP switches on the back to move the FN key around to different positions on the board. Now it's stuck just next to R-CTRL. It also removes the option of having a context-menu key. I've worked around that with a macro (Shift-F10) but it would be great if Ducky fixed this in their next firmware update.

Small gripe I know.

I've used enough keyboards that I know none are perfect. This one is pretty close to it though.

I love this keyboard the lighting is very solid but one problem I have about this keyboard is when your trying to customize the rgb settings the space bar only has one light turned on in the middle instead of all three leds turned. The only way all three lights stay on is when the whole keyboard is in one color when customizing the setting for the ducky software.

My first mechanical keyboard and for sure not my last. It has a SOLID construction and the mx blues are loud and abnoxcious just how I wanted them. The RGB is very bright and the different options are great. My order was shipped before the end of the day I ordered it and arrived at my house in under 5 days. I now want one for work and will be coming back to this website. Thanks guys!!

Only side note I have is that I can%u2019t seem to find a Mac driver for the RGB. But that's a ducky thing not this website.

This is my first mechanical keyboard and after much review searching I decided on ducky one 2 (tkl rgb). The keyboard feels great, the lighting effects are wonderful, and it works super with linux. My complaint is the keycaps. Most of them are pretty good, but some look like they weren't produced correctly? For instance, most of the "e" in the Home button will not illuminate. The same issue occurs on the "Pause" "Del" "PgDn" and "Alt" keys. Is this to be expected? I'm certainly sad each time I see my "Hom" button.

By far the best keyboard I have ever owned.

An excellent keyboard with one minor gripe. As for the board itself, I picked up the version with the Cherry MX Blue switches and it is an absolute joy to type on and has perfect functionality. I've had it for about a week now and from typing to gaming it gets the job done very well. The TKL design is new to me and I am really liking that aspect as I save a lot of room on my desk and haven't found myself in dire need of a number pad. Furthermore, the Doubleshot PBT keycaps are some of the best i've ever used and don't know if I could go back to any others. In my box, I received the extra keycaps in orange and though I wanted purple, I think the orange still looks fairly nice (I have orange ones as the arrow keys and esc key). Also, though some people may feel differently, the RGB is very nice to have and can be disabled if you don't want it. When it is on, it is very well lit (similar to how Corsair has their RGB done) and being able to adjust all the RGB leds through the board instead of software is convenient. As for the minor gripe, it really has nothing to do with the board itself but rather the Ducky RGB software. It may be a bug, but when I change/add/remove any lighting profiles through the software, I then lose functionality in some other profiles such as changing the backlighting color through the board when it is in "solid color" mode. Nonetheless, the board is very well made and one of the best i've ever used.

Disappointed. Ducky keyboards are usually pretty great. But the board i received has several issues. I waited 2 months for this board to ship. I bought the version with Cherry mx Browns.

Several of the keys stick: Left shift, right shift, enter, and the space bar. These keys gave me a mushy feel towards the bottom of the key press and wont immediately return back into position. The space bar gives off this annoying clicky sound when it gets momentarily stuck at the bottom; as if its off of blue switch keyboard. I've tried ensuring that each key was seated properly, but that didn't seem to fix it. All of these keys have stabilizers, so there's probably a larger issue here with those types of keys.

The switch on my windows key might not have been assembled properly. I can clearly hear the spring buckle inside the switch as i press it. Very annoying and I'm worried it might break at some point.

The texture of the keycaps is pretty good though. Feels great on the fingertips. The design of the "year of the dog" spacebar looks great.

But ultimately i'll have to get a replacement. Maybe they rushed the production because these boards are popular at the moment. I'll probably go back to my older Ducky Zero that's been perfect for the past several years.

Amazing keyboard(Red Switches), great RGB features and the keycaps feel amazing. Very sturdy and firmly grips to the table with no slide while typing or gaming. Everything about this keyboard feels perfect.

Just pre-order, its worth the wait. Great customer service and very reliable with no problems.
Will be buying from here again in the future!

It is so good.

So my first Mech board was a Leopold which is great so I decided to grab one for work.

After a bit of looking around I settled on the Ducky One 2 RGB TKL due to limited desk space at work.
I went with the silent red as I didn't want to annoy anyone around me.

As I've never tried silent reds, I was a little worried it wouldn't suit.
I can say that they are super silent. Even quieter than my old membrain board.

Keys feel nice and solid, but I found that a few scratched pretty easily.
I probably prefer the keys on my Leopold, but the duckys are still nice.

The silent reds are highly recommended for anyone looking for a mech board, but don't want the click / clack.
Perfect for an office.

This is the best mechanical keyboard I have ever used. I owned a Razer BW Ultimate (MX Blue switches) and a Corsair K70 Rapidfire (MX Silver switches) before this keyboard. The double shot PBT keycaps are the best keycaps I have ever felt. They're very high quality. I was considering the One 2 Mini, but I personally like arrow keys. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a great TKL board.

Pros:
The entire look and performance is amazing. I love the USB-C connection.
Smaller footprint (more mouse room if you have a large mouse pad; my K70 was a very large board).
High quality keycaps.
You can choose what switches you want. I went with the Silent Reds and they're so quiet, which is perfect. I also don't accidentally hit keys like I did with my silvers, which are very touchy.
The RBG colors are clean and bright.

Cons:
The RGB lighting and effects are very minimal compared to what I could do with the Corsair software with my K70. You're limited to what modes are available.
No braided cable, but you could order one later on if it's really an issue. I like braided cables, but not a deal breaker.
You can't choose the color of the 10 additional keycaps you get, but I lucked out and got the purple keycaps I wanted, so I can't complain. (I would have been disappointed with "Forest Green" and wish I had the option to choose).

Amazing keyboard. Solid build quality, consistent RGB lighting, and tons of customization options without additional software. If you're even considering Ducky One 2, just go for it.
